La Femme Long Faux-Wrap Prom Dress with Sequins

This dress was exactly what I was looking for for my first military ball! As a spouse that likes to be a little extra, I wanted a fully sequined gown, and all the other fab that should naturally accompany a fully-sequined gown. However the price tag on most reputable sequined gowns was astronomical. Imagine my amazement and excitement when this one was on sale for $99!!!!! According to the size chart I should have been a size 10, but I went to a local prom gown boutique to try on a LaFemme dress (due to this being a final sale item) and was cautioned that LaFemme dresses seem to run a bit large, so decided on the 6. There is no stretch to this dress, unlike some other LaFemme dresses, so I could have sized up to an 8 and it would have fit less snugly. The zippered part that covers the waist is very fitted, so pay close attention to your waist / hip measurements to get the best fit. The back is obviously adjustable per the tie-crossback design. My waist is 29”, hips 38.5, bust 36, and bra size 34A. I’m quite athletic with broad shoulders and muscular back and legs. This dress is well made, and hangs nicely on the body without showing every single pouch of body fat (which I appreciate as a now middle aged mom. Thank you LaFemme!)
