PromGirl Terms and Conditions

** Once your order is placed, you cannot change, alter, or cancel your order in any way. In the event an item in your order is not available, you will be offered alternatives or the option to receive a full refund for the item to the original payment method. 

** Special Occasion dresses are delicate and require extra caution when handling. Our items are carefully inspected before they are shipped to you. If you receive an incorrect item or an item that is less than perfect, you must let us know within 48 hours of receipt of the package by emailing support@promgirl.com.

** If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return your merchandise for store credit, less applicable fees, or an exchange. We do not issue refunds. Final Sales items cannot be returned or exchanged. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

** All items should be returned in the same condition as when you received them. Items returned without tags, appear to have been worn, washed, altered, stained, have an odor, have pet hair or appear to have been tampered with in any way, may be subject to the return being rejected and the item returned to the customer at their expense.

** We do not accept responsibility for the sizing you select for your merchandise. Please take proper measurements and refer to the size chart provided for each item as your guide to selecting the correct size for you. 

We do not offer subscription services. All purchases are one-time transactions. Any installment or payment plan options apply solely to the specific order placed and will be clearly disclosed at checkout.

PACKAGE PROTECTION

If package protection is purchased at checkout, your package is covered against loss or damage in transit.   PromGirl’s obligation ends once the merchandise has been delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout.  We are not responsible for delays, theft, or delivery errors due to incorrect information entered on your order. 

RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY

A Return Authorization must be requested and the package shipped back within 10 days of receipt of the item. Packages without a Return Authorization or outside 10 days will be denied and/or refused.   

If free returns coverage is purchased at checkout, then return shipping will be covered. Otherwise, customers are charged a handling fee per return created. The handling fee is $8.95. A prepaid shipping label* is included in this fee and will be sent automatically via email once the return is created.

*Continental US and Canada only. 

All other International customers are responsible to pay any and all fees when shipping back an item (Duties, taxes, brokerage fees, etc.). International customers must email support@promgirl.com to request a Return Authorization.

Once we receive your returned item and it passes inspection, you will receive an email within ten business days with your store credit in the form of an e-gift card.  We do not issue refunds.  

If you select an exchange item when creating your return, you will receive an email once the returning item shows movement from the carrier in our system.  Exchange orders are not processed automatically when you create your return.  You must complete your exchange order through the link in the email.  You may also choose an upgraded shipping method at this time, if needed.  Exchange items are not put on hold during this process.  Once you complete the exchange order, we will begin to process the new item. 

Any package that is refused or undeliverable for any reason does not constitute a valid return.  Customers are responsible for paying any and all fees related to having the package re-shipped if it is returned to us by the carrier.

Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged.  All sales are final.  

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which will be charged at checkout. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information before you place your order. Additionally, when ordering from PromGirl.com you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.

PromGirl.com reserves the right to approve which countries it will ship to. In the event a country is not approved, the buyer will receive a full refund.

On international shipments, delays may occur that are beyond our control caused by such factors as weather, language barriers, import restrictions, and customs services.

If any additional fees are not paid upon entry to the destination country, or the merchandise is refused, the product will be abandoned in the destination country and the customer will be responsible for 100% of the product cost and shipping. The customer will not receive any type of refund or credit for abandoned products.

CHARGEBACKS

By placing an order with PromGirl, you agree to all policies outlined in our Terms & Conditions. Chargebacks should only be filed as a last resort, and customers are expected to communicate with us directly to resolve any issues. Our policies are designed to protect both the customer and the business from abuse, fraud, or miscommunication.

Disputes Must Be Resolved Directly with Us

Before filing a chargeback, customers must contact PromGirl at support@promgirl.com. Most order-related concerns — including delivery issues, item quality, or returns — can be quickly resolved by our Customer Service team.

Chargebacks Filed Without Prior Contact Forfeit Store Credit

If a chargeback is filed without first giving PromGirl the opportunity to resolve the matter, the customer forfeits eligibility for store credit, exchanges, or other accommodations, even if the chargeback is later reversed.

Submitting False or Misleading Claims is Fraud

If a chargeback is filed on a valid, fulfilled order without merit (e.g., claiming non-receipt when tracking confirms delivery), PromGirl reserves the right to dispute the chargeback and provide supporting documentation including tracking logs, delivery confirmations, product images, and time-stamped communications.

Delivery to Carrier Constitutes Fulfillment

If package protection was not purchased at checkout, PromGirl’s obligation ends once merchandise is delivered in good condition to the shipping carrier. Risk of loss transfers to the customer at that time. We are not responsible for delays, theft, or delivery errors once the package is in transit.

Sizing and Fit Issues Are Not Valid Dispute Grounds

Size selection is the customer’s responsibility. Size charts are provided for each item, and PromGirl does not guarantee a perfect fit. Sizing concerns do not constitute a defective item or grounds for a chargeback.

Refunds Are Not Offered Per Policy

PromGirl does not offer refunds except when an item is unavailable. All eligible returns are issued store credit, less applicable handling fees. If an item is refunded due to stock unavailability, the refund is returned to the original payment method and confirmed by email.

Digital Acceptance of Terms

By completing checkout, customers digitally agree to PromGirl’s Terms and Conditions, including our Chargeback and Return Policies. 

Delivery Confirmation as Proof of Receipt

PromGirl uses carrier tracking, GPS delivery scans, and photo confirmation (when available) to verify successful delivery. If a package is marked delivered by the carrier, it is considered fulfilled.

Returned Items Must Match Original Order

Items returned must match the original shipment. Returns sent with different, damaged, worn, altered, or substituted merchandise will be rejected and returned to the customer at their expense. Fraudulent returns will be reported and may result in denied future orders.

Refused or Abandoned Shipments

Any shipment that is refused, not collected, or abandoned (domestic or international) will not be eligible for a refund or store credit. Customers are responsible for tracking their orders and covering any reshipping or customs-related fees if applicable.

Fraud Prevention Measures

For the protection of our customers and business, PromGirl may collect and retain device information, IP addresses, and metadata associated with purchases. This information may be used to verify order activity in the event of a dispute or fraudulent claim.

ORDER CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

PRODUCT SELECTION

PromGirl.com has made every effort to accurately display the products featured on the Site. However, the colors we use and the capabilities of your computer monitor will affect the colors you see on your screen. PromGirl cannot guarantee that your computer monitor will accurately display color, texture, or any merchandise details.

PromGirl is not responsible for errors made in selecting a dress size and cannot guarantee a dress will fit. It is the sole responsibility of the shopper to use a tape measure to take their measurements properly and then select the size that best fits them based on the size chart for the particular item purchased. PromGirl reserves the right to change sizes available and the size charts at any time.

SITE CHANGES

In order to keep the site current with our latest fashion ideas, PromGirl frequently changes the merchandise offered. This means that we cannot guarantee that an item displayed on a previous visit to the Site will still be available when you visit again. We reserve the right to make changes to the Site without prior notice. Should you be unable to locate an item you saw on a previous visit, please contact us and we will make every effort to meet your needs. Prices displayed on the Site are quoted in U.S. dollars and are valid and effective only in the United States.

COMMENTS & FEEDBACK

User Comments, Feedback, Postcards, and other submissions: We welcome your comments and feedback regarding the Site, our products and our services. All comments, feedback, postcards, suggestions, ideas, and other submissions disclosed, submitted or offered to PromGirl on or by the Site or otherwise disclosed, submitted or offered in connection with your use of the Site (collectively, the "Comments") shall be and remain PromGirl's property.
