How do I shop online?


To start shopping, click on the category that you would like to shop from on the home page or at the top of any other page on the site. In each category there are sub categories with different items.


Click on a small thumbnail photo of a product, and you'll be taken to a style description page where you'll see a large photo. Here you can also zoom on the dress, see size charts and color charts.


Choose your color and size, and click the "Add to cart" button. (If the style you selected is currently out of stock (backorder), you will be advised at this point. You may still order the dress, but it will not ship until the date listed. After adding it to your cart, it will show the item to the left in your cart. Now you can continue shopping for additional items, or check out.


Your shopping cart is where you keep your selections until you're ready to check out. To remove an item from your bag, click the delete button next to the item you want to delete. If you need to change the quantity, write in the correct number and click update.


If you have a coupon code, you can enter it in the box next to where it says "code" and press use coupon. This will deduct the amount of the coupon. Click check out to continue.


Now you will be taken to a secure page where you will enter your personal information and credit card number. After filling this in, the page will show you the contents of your cart and the price of your purchase.


After you have purchased your order, the page will show you your order ID number. Be sure to keep this number for your records. It's that easy.

We can take orders for almost anywhere in the world!  Please purchase all items through our website, and be sure to list your correct billing address as your order may be cancelled due to this.

What are the lengths of the dresses?


Our long dresses are 57" long unless otherwise specified in the size chart. Some of our beaded dresses are available for additional length to be added.

Is my information secure using this site?


Our Secure Software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts your credit card number so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.



 


Where are we located?


Our store is located at 733 North Broad Street, Middletown DE,  19709.  Our corporate office is located in New York City in the heart of the fashion district.

We also have locations all across the US where the products are shipped, orders are processed, and products are stored.



 


Are the sizes true?


Please check the size chart on the dress page that you are looking at for accurate sizing information.



 


What happens when I place an order online?


If you provided a valid e-mail address during the purchase process, you will receive an e-mail message shortly after you make a purchase confirming your online order, shipment method, and the total amount to be charged to your credit card. Please note that we authorize the amount of the order when you place the order to validate your credit card, your credit card is charged within 3 days of placing the order.  In the event that the product availability changes after the credit card has been charged, you will receive a refund in full for the unavailable product. 



 


Can I order by phone?


Sure! We'd be happy to take your order by phone. Call us toll free at 1-888-THE PROM (843-7766) weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. At other times, please leave a message with your name, phone number and time of day when you can be reached. If you can mention the style and size you are interested in, this will help us to respond faster to your needs.



 


Do you have any stores where I can try on a dress?


Our store is by appointment only in Middletown Delaware.

After a return, when will I receive my store credit?


Please allow 2-4 weeks for your store credit to be processed and emailed to you.  As soon as we have received and inspected your package, we will process your return for store credit.

How long will it take to get my order?

All orders of in stock merchandise placed before 9 AM EST will be shipped the same business day.  Orders placed after 9 AM EST will be shipped out the following business day via the method chosen in checkout. 



 


I want to dye my shoes, what do I do?


If you selected dye to match dress order when placing your order, we will look up any recent orders you have placed with Promgirl.com and dye your shoes to match this dress. If there is more than one dress order, we will contact you to find out what color you need to dye your shoes.

If you selected dye to match any colors, we will dye your shoes to match that general color. I.E. If you want sky blue shoes, do not select dye to match blue as they will be dyed blue. If your color is not shown on the selections, select dye to match other.

If the color that you want to dye your shoes is not listed on the options, select dyed other, and once the order is placed, e-mail kim@promgirl.com your order number and color you are dying your order.

If you have not selected dye to match swatch or dye to match dress order, we are not responsible for your shoes not matching a certain color. The colors in our menu are general colors, and the manufacturer will dye them according to their guidelines.



 


Is this dress available?


Unfortunately availability changes by the minute and we are unable to know availability on your dress until you place an order.  Once your order is placed, we will either pull your dress from our inventory or a PromGirl employee will call the designer directly to order your dress.  We will contact you ASAP to let you know when we can have this dress for you.
