PromGirl.com, a leading Internet retailer of prom dresses, plans to offer its broad selection of prom dresses and prom shoes directly to shoppers at its new retail location.
New York, NY -- April 1, 2006 -- PromGirl.com (http://www.promgirl.com) has signed a lease for and plans to open a 2,000 square foot retail store at Middletown Square Shopping Center, 733 North Broad Street, Middletown, Delaware. Since 1998 PromGirl has offered a broad selection of prom dresses and prom accessories online and by appointment at its showroom. Now, prom shoppers visiting PromGirl’s Middletown location will have direct access an extensive stock of prom merchandise, dresses and shoes. In keeping with PromGirl’s reputation for providing its online customers otherwise hard-to-find prom merchandise, retail customers at the new store will be able to special order dresses in specific sizes and colors not in stock.
David Wilkenfeld, President of PromGirl noted that: “we have found that for many girls purchasing a prom dress is the culmination of months of shopping. Whether she is choosing a prom dress for less than a hundred dollars or is looking for unique, high fashion celebrity dress, the selection and purchase of a prom dress is an important decision.” PromGirl, which offers a complete line of prom and formal dresses to fit all sizes from 2 to 32 and figure types, makes the decision process easier. Shoppers at the Delaware retail store will have the added advantage of access to the same merchandise available to online shoppers. This includes several high fashion lines only offered through selected merchants.
Commenting on the expansion, Wilkenfeld added “the new store will be the first in a planned expansion of special concept designed stores to complement PromGirl’s established Internet business. At our stores, girls will be able to shop and select with confidence the prom dress that is just right for their budget and fashion needs. “
