I have to admit, at first I was skeptical to order this because of the large amount of prom dress scams I've seen online, and even through a reliable website, the price seemed quite good for a Jovani dress. Even so, I thought the dress was beautiful and I ordered it. I was told to go a size up, and got an 8 instead of a 6, although a 6 would have fit better. My advice is just to go by the size chart. At least it isn't too small, I can always have it taken in.
The dress is really long, for reference I'm 5'5 and even with 5 inch heels it still has about an inch or so on the ground.
Okay, so this dress is absolutely gorgeous. Although they are light weight, the gems don't look cheap at all, and the iridescent, rainbow-y glow they have in the sun is absolutely beautiful. The pink color of the skirt is so pretty and the chiffon is light and beautiful. I felt just like a princess with it on.
When I saw that the only coverage beyond the jewels were two built in bra cups I was worried about feeling exposed or showing off too much, but you don't notice at all. Personally, I'm only an A cup, but I could see the smaller cups maybe not giving enough support or the personal desired coverage to someone with a larger chest. The mesh did a good job of matching to my skin tone, but I'm also quite pale, so I don't know how seamless the transition from skin to mesh would be with someone who has a darker skin tone.
The reason I gave the dress four stars instead of five, is that there are only two layers of skirt (one chiffon and one of a thin, satiny sort of fabric), and at least with the pink color it's a little see through, but just enough you would have to wear nude underwear with it or risk showing everyone what you were wearing underneath.
Overall, this is a great dress, and a great company. They shipped the dress the morning after I ordered it, and it came today (Thursday) when I ordered it on Monday. I had a great experience and will definitely look into ordering from PromGirl for my next prom!
