PromGirl.com Partners with Savannah Berry
to Write Prom Theme Song

Teen YouTube star writes prom song with help from her fans

New York, NY - April 12, 2011 -- PromGirl.com, a leading online retailer for prom and special occasion dresses, announces that teen country singer and YouTube sensation Savannah Berry will write and perform the official PromGirl prom theme song. Savannah will begin the songwriting process with an open contest on YouTube that calls for video submissions of song ideas that will be combined into the final prom theme song.

PromGirl first noticed the teen star on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards with Sugarland wearing a dress she had purchased from PromGirl.com for the event. After researching the young star, the team at PromGirl was immediately interested in partnering with Berry because of her mass appeal and exceptional talent.

“When I saw Savannah on the red carpet at the ACM Awards in the dress from PromGirl.com, she really stood out to me,” says David Wilkenfeld, president of PromGirl, LLC. “She’s only sixteen and already performing with Sugarland. I thought she’d be perfect to sing a prom theme song and it’s great that her own fans are going to get involved in the creative process and help her write it!”

The contest, “Help Savannah Berry Write the Theme Song For PromGirl.com”, is open from April 10, 2011 through April 22, 2011. To enter, you must create a video of your contribution to the prom song – which can be anything from lyrics to music to writing the whole song – and post it as a response to Savannah’s video (http://bit.ly/savannahpromgirl). All those contest entries chosen to be a part of the final song will receive a $250 gift certificate to PromGirl.com.
